Select the Start button -> Settings -> Apps -> Startup :In the Startup Apps area, find the program you want to stop from starting automatically and set it to Off.
To turn off indexing, open the Indexing Options Control Panel window (type "index" in the Start button search box to see Indexing Options at the top of the result list). Click Modify and uncheck locations you don't want indexed.
Windows 10 has some nice eye candy — shadows, animations, and visual effects. On fast, newer PCs, these don’t usually affect system performance. But on slower and older PCs, they can exact a performance hit.
